Welcome to Darby's!

Darby's Freehouse

Converted into a pub in 1988 from a pair of cottages that originated in the 18th century, Darby's is a solid-looking building in the centre of Swanton Morley.

The entrance leads into a spacious bar, which has a rustic feel created by beams, brick wall and an inglenook with a log fire.

The menu is changed regularly to include locally sourced seasonal produce, asparagus, samphire and Cromer crabs being particular favourites. The menu caters for vegetarian, vegan and children of all ages. A senior citizen menu is available on Tuesday, as well as "Monday special" a tasty and economical way to start the week. The beef dishes on offer are prepared from our own herd of rare breed White Park cattle. The meat is matured on the bone in our own farm chiller for a minimum of three weeks. Meat to take home, fresh or frozen is available to order. Just ask at the bar.

Beers are a fine selection, comprising regulars from Adnams, Badgers, Woodfordes and Greene King as well as three guest ales. A short list of wines is reasonably priced available by the bottle or by the glass.
